I am a 37 year old male who is new to road bikes. I have been a mountain biker since the early 90's and have always thought roadies looked a little feminine in their spandex. On a recent 30 mile ride on my fancy new carbon frame bike I had a lot of discomfort from the ultra light saddle. I decided to try a pair of padded underwear and they were not much better. Then I noticed these fancy bibs, no more plumber's crack, sorry ladies. Sometimes function wins over form and these are very functional.
